Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born on August 19 1965 was an American actress. She also works as an actor and producer. Her leading role in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. As a result of her portrayal as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. Following the conclusion of the seventh season the show was cancelled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her role as a regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was an educator and therapist for families and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and of English origin. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has said that she is a part of Passover seders.
