Maria Elena Bello, born April 18, 1967 in the United States is an actress as well as a writer, producer, and director. Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999) and Coyote Ugly(2000), The Cooler(2003), A History of Violence(2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor2008 Prisoners 2013, Grown Ups 2010 and Lights Out (2016) are among her roles in films. Bello was a major player on television as Dr. Anna Del Amico in the medical drama ER (1997-1998), along with other starring roles like Michelle McBride in the first season (2016) of Goliath and Jacqueline Sloane in the first season of Goliath, a Special Agent on NCIS between 2017 and 2021. Bello was born April 18, 1967 in Norristown in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Kathy who was a school nurse and teacher, and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She grew up in a poor, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. 7] At Villanova University, she majored in the field of politics. Following graduation, Bello honed her acting abilities in several New York theater productions. Bello is mother to Jackson and Dan McDermott, her ex-boyfriend.
